Lindale is a small village set amidst idyllic and historic English countryside, situated in the south of The Lake District National Park. Lake Windermere is just a few short miles away, offering an array of places to go and things to do. A few minutes drive brings you to Cartmel, a beautiful medieval village, famed for its delicious sticky toffee pudding, 12th century priory, National Hunt race meetings and Michelin starred restaurants. The neighbouring town of Grange-over-Sands, is a charming Edwardian seaside destination. Take a stroll on the promenade and explore the quaint narrow streets with charming tea rooms and independent shops including bakeries, chocolatiers, a delicatessen and award winning butchers. A short climb up Hampsfell rewards with panoramic views over Morecambe Bay and the South Lakeland Fells.

Situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Eller How is the perfect base to explore the Lake District; sailing on Windermere, cycling in Grizedale Forest, Go Ape Treetop adventures, birdwatching at Leighton Moss and The Foulshaw Osprey Experience. There are stately homes at Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle, a heritage steam railway which runs from Haverthwaite to Lakeside, the Peter Rabbit attraction and walking or touring in the local fells, lakes and tarns.
